Skiers edge is the best I've heard of. Pinecrest has some stuff, not much, and there are some others that are popping up.

This is one of the new ones, but I personally think its a joke, but its in the malibu dealership i believe.

Pinecrest is a joke, they dont hold much more then the basics and my advice would never get your boat serviced there. Bad experiences

If you are close to Fort Wayne, defintely check out Get Wet. They are down for the cause and not just to make a buck off you. Talk to Dustin and tell him that Jeigh or Zach sent you.

I agree with krupp, Fort Wayne Get Wet is great. They gave more than a 1000.00 dollars worth of boards, skates, shoes, sandles, and much more to the Ice Breaker Crush the Ice for life.

Ask for dustion! He is the man!

Ride the wave is a good store, but not really worried much about the local rider, unless you got some money!

Zach & Jeigh,

I go past Sylvan Lake quite a bit when I head up to Adam's Lake in Wolcotville. Zach, I actually think I emailed you a few years back. Anyways, we should get together and ride at least once this year sometime if possible. I have a boat that throws a decent wake:-) I honestly usually ride on the Huntington Reservoir because it is always smooth, even on the weekends until about noon or so. I only ride on Adam's Lake in the early spring or late fall when it's too cold for everyone else. I've been out the past two weekends and we have been the only boat out there. Hit me up sometime if you wanna try and ride. Later.

I'm defintely down to ride. I actually just started working in Fort Wayne. Huntington is just down the road pretty much so if you want to ride any evenings that way I may be able to make it out. Are you coming out for the Ice Breaker on the 10th?

JKW,
We should ride soon. I try and ride 4-5 days a week. There hasn't been much boat action on the lake as of yet. Still little cold for most people. Let me know when you want to ride

Sounds good man! I will send you a message with my number, hit me up if you are riding any evenings. I'm definitely liking the rig. The black and white nautique with the white denali looks sick. I will talk to you soon!

Zach & Jeigh,

Would you guys be interested in riding this Saturday earlier in the day...around 10am or so? I could drop my boat in on Sylvan and we could ride and then I would probably head on up to Adams Lake. It would be me and as many as 3 other guys, but I'm not sure yet.

The weather is looking warmer Saturday, but I'm not sure about the rain yet. We would just have to make a decision that morning or something. Let me know and then I will send you a PM with my contact info and we can try and work something out.

JKW,
Saturdays suck for me, I work 830-200 and this saturday Jeigh and I both have a wedding to attend. How about sunday or I be around friday night after 6, but I could tell you where my house was and you could drop in and get ready before i got there, my house is 100 yards from the boat launch

That sucks. I'm not sure about Sunday. Weekdays are hard for me because I live in Columbia City (where my boat is), but I work in Ft. Wayne and I don't get off until 5:15. I will keep in touch and we will try and work something out.

NATHAN- sorry to hear you had a bad experience at pinecrest. What was the deal? ALSO! Just something for everyone here to know, we dont stock much at pinecrest because we do not focus on the pro shop we are a boat dealership. However, i personally ride for pinecrest and work for them and first off know we mainly only carry pro model boards from CWB, Obrien and Hyperlite. Second most people do not know that we are more than willing to order in anything we dont have for you. If you guys ever need anything give pinecrest a call and ask for myself or Scott. I should be back in town around thursday and should be working again by the 18th of this month. We can also arrange demos in most cases as well. Look forward to seeing everyone out this summer!

I'd stay away from skier's edge. Shady place

i work at bart's and we are only 2 hours north of 465. i made the drive before work this morning... we have the biggest selection of boards in the midwest (LF, Hype, CWB, Gator, OBrien) and people who can answer any question you've got. plus tons of surfers, wakeskates, and other accessories. if you want more information send me a message.

why do you think Skier's Edge is a shady place???
Old     (redsupralaunch)      Join Date: Aug 2002       05-05-2008, 6:39 AM Reply
Skiers Edge has supported our competitions for years. Like Barts, Pincrest, Ride the Wave are good local shops. None of them are shady.
