I talked with a dealer who claimed the new X-star will be coming out next year. Just wondering what everyone would change.

I had an 06 SANTE and was not impressed with the changes int eh 07 and newer. Although i have learned to love them now, i was just wondering what changes people would love and hate to see in the new X-star.

I would like to see the following:
Removable cooler like in the X-25 or Naughtys

Similar JL Audio interior set up but wired correctly w/ enough amps to power them correctly

More interior space, smaller sun pad

Plug and Play ballast option w/ enough space for Pro Tour bags

Like the speakers to remain higher in the sidewalls rather than near the floor.

Standard Z-rack bimini with an option for a traditional fold up style

Some way to mount additional racks to the tower without it looking retarded

Push button combination start...like the nautiques. I forget my keys on occasion.

Sturdier Tower, pre-wired correctly for tower speakers.

Mesh seats like the Tige for the driver seat.

Would love to see a decent surf wake!

Don't Want to see:
A screen of any sort. I personally don't like them that much. I know others love them, but this is my list!

Rear faced adjustable seating areas. I like the traditional setup. Although I do love the 230 interior, i still prefer the traditional setup.

Sinks and wetbars....

No foils, tabs, etc.

No tribal, flame or skull graphics. Just clean lines and graphics.

I have also been wondering what the chances are that they will make any major changes to the hull. Nautiques got away with it on the 210, but the original was very small and the boat needed to grow. The X-star is a decent size boat, but the large sun pad takes away interior space. I wonder if they will just revise that portion of the boat to add space inside and leave the hull as is. Seems risky to mess with it.

Prediction.... The new X-25 (or something very close) will become the new X-star.

A descent tower.....

Or a wrap that doesn't look like you just bought a 24' billboard designed by a 10th grader.

I would not mess too drastically with the tower. It still has a number of very good points. They have to be careful to not do one of those upgrades that is actually worse than before. It is plenty stable on my boat with the stabilizer bars. They should come standard. I think the board racks are amongst the best in the market. It also looks cool. Hopefully they don't go with a two mounting point tower, like the malibu illusion, nautique or new tige tower. I still don't like them.

Better surf wake would be nice.

I am not a fan of screens, but everyone is doing it, so I don't see any way of not having a screen in the future. I would take a good set of analog guages any day of the week.

I still think a key ignition is much smarter. They rarely break and can be easily fixed in a tough situation. Didn't the guy with the stuck accellerator on the toyota crash because he could not figure out how to shut off his push button start car? (I guess you have to push the start button and hold it for 5 seconds or something like that).

Larger under the floor ballast tanks (like in the Epic)
Plug & play ballast (like in the Axis)
Stadium seating (like in the Nautique)

Lose the useless crap and offer a simple stripped version at a significant decrease in price.

Oh yeah, better surf wake!

Open up the seating area by pushing the dash/windshield forward and the back seat, back. The X-star has way more storage than it needs.

More stock ballast.

Some kind of wake plate or trim tab to get on plane faster and more efficiently with maximum weight.

Reverse seating is a must

Torpedo bay for the wake surfers

A way of having like a sit-up seat. I don't know if anyone will understand this but think the cushion under the tower pylon, it having a way of sitting up, so that you can still face backwards, but be closer to the back of the boat. Similar to a pool-side chair, where when you sit it up, it locks in place.

You mean that thing that you MC owners have bashed Tige for for years as being a "fix for a poor hull design"?

There are a couple brands that do that, they offer the "useless crap" as an option, so you can pay for it if you want.
