What board can you do that with? Has to have no fins....and very smooth bottom almost like a snowboard. right??

Basically. You can do some of it with fins, but it won't be easy and it won't look as graceful. One of the things that frustrates me is that I can't find a setup that will allow me to do this and still charge the wake. I love doing butterslide nosepresses and whatnot at the cable park, riding my flat-bottomed Slingshot with not fins. But when I ride wake, I need the fins to hold a good edge, and they catch too much when I try to get crazy with my surface tricks. I wish I could find a board that could do both really well.

What about a Paradigm?

he even has a little of the Byerly "hook" going on. real stylish surface tricks.

The Paradigm would be ideal for tricks like this because of its flat bottom and flex characteristics.

That's what I was thinking, and the fins aren't that big on them...... Can't wait for spring..... well late spring.

You'd have to ride finless like Zucky does in the video. That will suck for wake-to-wake tricks, but it will be fun for surface tricks.

My new favorite rider. It's what I had originally envisioned riding a flex board would look like, unfortunately no one else has really taken it to this level. Butter nasty...

Oh, and I recommend watching his other videos on youtube. He rips of the wake too.

His age makes his ability and style even more impressive. I don't know exactly how old he is, but I'm guessing over 40. Also, his real name is apparently Toshimitsu Suzuki.

what about trying the ss ballistic line. the slight channels should help hold an edge better but still be loose finless?

zucky can still really charge the wake on that board finless. it is incredible.
and then some of his older videos riding a more traditional board he is still just as buttery. crazy

he kinda reminds me of what Josh Storrer used to do on the Roam.
