Teak Oil Substitutes

I saw some posts a year ago about some products that can be used instead of teak oil that lasted longer than traditional oil. I searched and couldn't find them. I like the look of teak but would rather not have to think about oiling the swim platform every 2-4 weeks.

so is the teakguard better than the starbright product? and if so why?

I am going to try 303 on mine after the teak oil. It supposedly works very well in maintaining the teak between oiling. I will give a report after a few months of use.

I use Golden Teak. Its pretty common at boat shops. I still oil it every time I go out, but it lasts a lot longer than any others I have tried. It seems a little thicker.

I don't know if it last's longer but I use Boild Lin Seed oil.

I pulled the trigger on teakguard. Their website seemed to make a convincing argument for using non-organic oils and they claim once a year application will get the job done. I will found out this year if that is hype or not.

Edit - I have used the sarbrite oils and know that stuff will start greying in a month or so.

someone on here before said that the sealer makes the platform pretty slick compared to oiling.
