Anybody have any reccomendations for upholstery work in or around Sacramento. Looking to recover all the seats and the engine cover in a 88 Ski Nautique. I got some quotes yesterday (low $800 high of $2800). Pretty ridiculous if you ask me.

You need to find Gonzales Auto Upholstry. He id my 88 Sanger 3 yearss ago. I took him all the seats and panels out of the boat and dropped them off. Got em all back 2 days later for $800. His work is awesome. He was on 47th ave but they tore down the building for the light rail I was told he is @ the Lincoln Airport but cannot confirm.

Good luck

Rick - Did you do one color, no designs like stripes or anything? I am guessing the quality held up pretty well. Any pics of the Sanger?

Ck my profile for picture, you can see some of the seats. They have multi colored strips in the center and the seat edgess have blue welting. He also has done a couple of friends boats and his work is really good.

You must go to Folsom Upolstery. I was thinking of doing my whole upolstery from Correct Craft and found that to be really cost prohibited and they turned me on to Folsom Upolstery. I asked to see one of their clients and he gave me the name and contact for a Ski Nautique that he did. I went and saw the boat and let me tell you that he did the most excellent job. Totally professional with a factory look. I was quite impressed.

Thanks Rick and Chris. I checked out Folsom Upholstery based on the referral from West Coast CC. Talked to Orin and he quoted me out at about $2500. That's about $1000 plus over my budget.

The Pauler,

Ask him to give you a referral and see some of his work. Of course you should do that with shop you choose.
Once you see his work, I think you'll agree.
