Are you dedicated to wakeboarding? What is the craziest thing that you've done in the name of wakeboarding? The best story I got is once I drove up 2 1/2 to our lake house for a 30min set in 55 degree water, then drove 2 1/2 hours home.

I drove 5.5 hours for a 20 minute set in the pouring rain...

I'm doing it all over again June 30th, Bordentown NJ

Wakeboarding is the ONLY thing in the world that will get me up at 5 o'clock in the morning without hesitation to ride some butter.

A few years back a guy posted looking for a ride while he was in Az. He was coming out from NJ for Spring Break and was going to be in Tucson. He drove 2 hours up from Tucson to Phoenix and we went boarding for the afternoon. Then he drove the 2 hours back that night. That's some dedication imo!

hmmm, maybe wakeboarding for 3 years at the Oahu water ski club and reef runway when that area has been spotted for tiger sharks....And a board strapped to your feet that would look like a nice small sea lion if the shark was looking up at the surface.

I give props to Reid & Ryan for motivating me to wakeboard as much as I did. :-)

Dedication is drinking a few cases of beer with your buddies the night before then waking up at the ass crack of dawn for a butter session. IMO

I'm with mike k. I won't lift a finger on a bad Hango, but if there's wakeboarding to be had, I go everytime.

Dedication is loading down your boat with 2-3k or more of weight when gas prices are 3.00+

I flew out to texas from CA to buy my boat (for a good price of course) and rented a 19ft budget rental truck with no tilt steering, tilt seat or cruise control for the drive back.

Mike and Jeff, in those cases I like to just pull the all nighter, hit a few red bulls to help, then take a nap after the morning set, then your ready for the evening set, lol.

I bought a 2002 Explorer in IL to drive to New Jersey to pick up my boat. 13 hours there, 13 hours back. Alone.

Left Friday Morning at 9:30a.m. had the boat in the water in Illinois by 1pm on Sunday afternoon.

March last year, didn't own a wet suit, 38 degree water, 70 degree air and you couldn't keep me out of the water!

Now the best I got is getting up earlier on the weekends than I do on the weekdays to ride!

I got one from the CIE Archives:

I know Billy rode a "Rome," in a thunderstorm with 2 ft white capping swells, while wearing a sweatshirt... just to get a pull in.

Or maybe he was just to drunk...

How bout December 7am 38 degree air and 48 degree water twice a week. Wind chill was horrible but the ride was well worth it.

Getting up at 4 am every weekend to hit the butter by 6 am, regardless of the amount of sleep or alcohol imbibed the evening prior.
