I wanted to see if anyone has used Bath Fitter before? I am looking to do some updating to my bathroom and I didn't want to spend a ton of money replacing the tub/shower I have in my bathroom. I'm not looking for anything fancy, just something new and clean.

I live in Tacoma, WA (close to Seattle) so if anyone has any other ideas or opinions on Bath Fitter, I would appreciate it.

Thanks

We used them a few years ago... They did okay. I was working all day and came in after the guy was well into the project. I was NOT HAPPY with the work he had done. I made a call to the rep who had given me my estimate and he had a guy out there within the hour to look at the work. He wasn't happy either so they ripped everything out and started over.
So... took a little longer than it should have but at the end of the day the install was pretty good. Looking back, I personally wish we could have spent a little more and done tile and all that... bought a new tub. Based on price alone, we did improve our bathroom quite a bit though. My wife didn't even like taking a bath in there before because the tub was old and stained... with the BF cover up, the whole bath and shower stall felt new to her... made her comfortable to relax in her tub... and she was able to design it exactly the way she wanted. Not to mention I was able to have them raise the shower head to better fit my height. All in all, not bad for the price.

I had one put in about 3 years ago and I love it. I was there when the dude did the work and he did a good high quality job. I would def recommend it to a friend.

After seeing this thread I googled "bath fitter" and found a couple complaint sites. Just like everything, there's always people who didn't have a great experience and want to complain about it on the web. It looks to me that it really depends on the sub who does the work as to whether or not the work is done right. I had been thinking about re-doing my shower and was curious what it would cost to do something with Bath Fitters. From the posts I read it looked like somewhere between $3500-$4500 was pretty common for a shower re-do. I think I can re-tile and install new glass doors myself for substantially less, even if I had to replace sheet rock. If I were re-doing the tub I might give them a shot.
