Just heard that we got funding from the County until Jan 2004. Hopefully then 1024 will pass when the senate reconvenes and we can be done with this nonsense.

Castaic Lake To Remain Open

CASTAIC -- Castaic lake will be staying open.

The Los Angeles County Board of Supervisors approved $750,000 in funding Tuesday.

The money will keep the lake operating beyond October 1st, when the lake had been scheduled to close.

There were funding disputes between L.A. County and the state because of budget cuts. Now, the extra money will give the county more time to hold talks with the state about the lake's future.

Entry fees and boat launch passes will be increasing starting October 1st.
