I have had a idea in my head for a few years now about having a comp for all the big guys in our sport. There is a lot of classes at wakeboarding events, for skill, age, and skill and age, but none for size. Lbs is a lot bigger disadvantage than age in wakeboarding. So Nor cal int, CIE, and I have teamed up to have a class for all of us big riders!!! It will be at the first nor cal int stop the Friday of CIE spring ride at Bass lake. The class is for 225 and up, 3 invert max in your two passes. All levels welcome!! The more riders the better! I would love to show everyone that this is a sport for every body!! You don't have to be 150 lbs to go big on a wakeboard!!!! Thanks BG

Good call BG! Can't wait to see how this plays out. See you next weekend, and then at West Coast Camps in June!

From the few pics/vids I've seen of BG, size ain't holding him back at all...

Though at 6'3" 220 myself I can sympathize, wake just doesn't float me like the little bitty guys I ride with, and when will someone finally make a 148cm board, hmm, hmm SLINGSHOT...

I was thinking having a weight and height restriction makes more sense because when you are tall sometimes tricks just don't look as big or as stylish. I know I have been docked style points in tournaments because the perception is that I am not going quite as big.
Or have different divisions..... sub 200, 200 to 215, 215 to 230, 230 and up ...
