I took my 139 Helix for a retro-run the other weekend...loaded the boat up with 10 people and 2000 lbs...i have to say I had as much fun on this old board as I do on any of my newer setups...so easy to spin, pops tail heavy, kinda slow, but lands like a dream....does anyone still ride one of these, care to comment? I am thinkin about bringing it out of retirement.

I used to love that board. Only problem was it keep delaminating. I think 3 delaminated on me in about 6 months.

The 136 was my first board, hangs on the wall in my office. I absolutely loved that thing when I was riding it...but like you I gave it a spin earlier this year and man, it felt like a tank...didn't do it for me like it used to, so now it's back on the wall.

joe, the helix has molded in fins, but no removeable fins...these boards are commonly referred to as finless..but you already knew that, cuz your Joe Umali.
