Check out this link, whilst boarding on Windermere this Sunday landed a jump right on top of a huge Pike that had just come up for a breather.
Managed to get it in the boat and get the pictures to prove it.
If you’ve got a better fisherman’s tale than that I need to hear it.

I heard of the exact same thing happening a few years back. I didn't know they had Pike in Florida. Windermere, FL right?

Sorry, working didn't look at the video. Was it a "bash & release"?

Toolfan - definitely not a pickerel - clearly a pike.

That's pretty sweet!

Is Pike not short for Pickerel?

There are Chain Pickerel in my lake and they look pretty much like the Pike - same fin structure and snout, etc, just smaller.

Below is a pic of a Chain Pickerel, also known as a River Pike.
I've been fishing and "playing" in Florida lakes all my life and I had no clue these were in there until I saw one in my canal one day, snapped a pic and looked it up on-line. They're fast as heck, eat fish and can grow up to 30 inches although the state record is only 8 lbs...

Well in Alberta people that talk pickeral really mean walleye. While jackfish or sloughshark is Northern Pike.

It's the same where I'm from Jeffrey... Pickerel generally refers to walleye...

Hahah weird you landed on a fish.
I've got a story...but no pics to go along with it. A few years back me and my buddy used to go wakeboarding before school and one morning there was a huge flock of Canadian Geese. So I cut out so I could get a closer look at them and one of them like starting flying towards me. He chased me for sooo long, my buddy actually had to speed the boat up. Anyway I thought that was pretty funny.

I almost landed a fish while wakesurfing. Felt something flopping against my foot...looked down and it was a fish about 14" or so. Tried to reach down and grab it...but it slid off.
