What rms watts are yall running to make the pro 80s scream last summer i had 130-150 watts to them thay sounded good but i belive thay can handel a lot more.At 12.5 volts most amps do not make ratted power. So would a alpine pdx 150x4 bridged to two chan be to much that would be 300 watts per speaker. But at 12.5 volts it should be less because the 300 w would be at 14 volts? Is this thinking correct?

I've heard some peeps running a pair bridged on the Syn4! I've had a set running with 325 watts for about 2 years now.

Syn2 or Syn4. With the Syn4, you have the ability to add another set in the future and still have enough power.

I have a pair of 80's and a pair of 60's being pushed by the syn2. 175 watts each and they scream.

I have heard Tim White himself say that they can handle more than the 200 Watts RMS. Important that they are tuned properly, but he also gives great advice on that.

I would contact Wetsounds so that you aren't getting advice from a bunch of nutheads on WW who aren't going to be responsible if things go bad. They always give good advice on this sort of thing.

I ran them with a Tru Technology t2.100 amp and they rocked. Go high end on your amp and you will be happy. The cleaner the power the better.
