I hope they don't rely on a lot of tourist dollars there, it looks like the town will stay just the way they like it.

I didn't see anywhere in the 3 articles I read where they were asked to make the prominent figure in the mural "more white, Wes.

The big mistake was wasting tax money on a mural insted of teaching kids. This bashing Arizona and trying to make them appear as a state full of racists is getting old. The law that was passed is no worse than the federal law so I guess Brack and his crew are also racist.

how is making them more "radiant and happy" turn to "more white?" More liberal crap.

We all know that liberals believe white people keep brown people down so it is the next logical conclusion to think that making the mural "radiant and happy" means make it white. You see only white people are radiant and happy and brown people are always sad.

Update: City councilman Blair who led campaign against mural loses his radio show as a result of the controversy. So that's a plus at least. Blair stated, "I am not a racist individual, but I will tell you depicting a black guy in the middle of that mural, based upon who's president of the United States today and based upon the history of this community when I grew up, we had four black families - who I have been very good friends with for years - to depict the biggest picture on that building as a black person, I would have to ask the question, 'Why?'"

"The leader of a group of artists says he was ordered to lighten the skin tones of children depicted in an outdoor mural covering two walls of a Prescott, Arizona elementary school because of complaints that the faces appeared too ethnic."
