Just a little stereo work

Manny, that thing looks awesome on the water...
How do those 7.7 tower speakers sound?
Old     (lionel)      Join Date: Nov 2005       04-27-2006, 10:51 PM Reply
Attila, I've got them. They sound good. Especially with the JL amp. If you really want to hear 'em when riding move the fader a little to the front and crank it.

Thanks guys

Atila, I haven't riddent behind it yet but they sound great in the boat. I can't wait to ride behind it.

I have some questions, on the stock stereo, with the tower speakers and sub, to about what number can you crank the stereo. Mine turned off a couple times i don't know if it was the amp clipping or what, anyone know?
Also I noticed that the boat seemto be prewired for something over the back cupholders, it has to wires on each side saying int 1 and int2 are these prewired for lights?
How do you guys have your ipods installed?

Anything around 30 or higher is about as high as I would go. I've never had it turn off on me. I was the first one to fry one of the JL amps. It actually quit on me while it was on mute? Warranty. You might want to play around with the EQ gains on the amp, they're round dials you can adjust with a flathead screwdriver. I had the stereo shop adjust mine, sounds a little better than coming right out of the box!!!

Don't know what the int 1 & 2 are? Lights? or something from the stereo? Harmon Kardon Ipod plug and play..

how is managing that weight with only a single axle? i thought this boat was fairly heavy for a single. i really have no idea but since it is last years xstar i thought it was still heavy. again, what do i know?

BEAUTIFUL color choices... Looks like a million bucks (or maybe just 1/17 of a million ). Let us know what you think of the wake and design of the boat after a few hours. The layout on that boat is FANTASTIC for being only 20' long. Enjoy her!

I finally rode behind the boat today. Man I loved it. Coming from an outboard the wake was so amazing. I set the speed to 21 and didn't have to worry about it and I went wake surfing for the first time. Ive riden behind a 210, sv 211, x10 and some ski boats and I thought the X2s wake was just as good as any. I found it just as good as the nautiques but the wake is different its less steep and more rampy. I'm guessing due to the rampy vs. steep I feel like I have more control in the air off this wake. I'm going out again tomorow and I'll take some pics. I plan on riding every day this summer! Anyone know how to clean salt water from the carpeting in the storage compartments. I has a roller hit me and the front compartment got wet, I dried the water then hosed it with some fresh water and salt away and dried it up then left it open to airate, anything else I should do?

Nice Manny, did you get the salt water package with the closed cooling?

Cliff, it's more of a drill through the gel coat and arm rest and nuts and bolts operation. No suction cups..

Is that the Med Blue? Also has anyone seen the Xstar add which looks like its in Alaska with the iceberg behind it? What color is that in the add? It doesn't really look like the med blue?

The e on that xstar is my color. It is the mediteranian blue. The color looks lighter or darker depending on how u see it. Well I went out on the boat today and blew my eardrum, has this ever happened to any of you. I think m out for like 2 weeks.
