I just bought a pylon (couldn't afford tower) lol but I have one problem. I have seen many boats with the pylon near the front of the boat. But at the same time I have seen them in the back. My pylon is 10ft. I just don't know where to put it!!! any info would be very helpfull
Thanks...
Eric

Depends what kind of boat you have. If it's a V-drive or I/O the pylon's gonna go towards the back, and if it's a direct drive inboard the plylon is gonna slide over the existing pylon towards the middle of the boat.

I think either way the pylon should be towards the middle, or apx. 2/3 up towards the front, or slightly behind the driver. I think you will find that will help with the handling.

Cam's right, the ones designed for I/O's & V-drives use additional supports since they don't have a pylon as an anchor point.

Eric,
Like others are saying lots of times you don't have a choice but what we have found is the further forward the better for the rider. Basically for what ever speed you ride at there is a sweet spot on the wake. If can lengthen your rope but keep the rider at the sweet spot it gives them more to work with and if they want they can develop more speed into the wake. This is just what we have found moving pylons around.
