Surf Board Rack

I need to get a Surf Board Rack for my 2008 X-Star. I have a very thick surfboard (these are hand laid surfboards much more like real surf boards than wake surf boards -http://shredstixx.com/boards/) and I am desperate to get this thing out of the cabin when we ride.

Anyone have any recommendations for a good Surf Board Rack? I have looked all around online but it hard to tell the quality of these racks and the prices are all over the place.

Moster Tower's surf rake will fit and it's removable with a flip of a lever.I've had their racks for 5 years still look like new.I do take good care of my stuff though.

Do you have a bimini? You could do surf pockets like some on here have done. I think you could probably get it done for a couple hundred bucks and it will hold 2 surf boards I think?

No bimini today - although a custom one we will be built over the winter. I do not like the stock bimini's for this tower.

If you can deal with it till you get the bimini just have them add the surfpockets when making the bimini assuming the surf pockets will work with the bimini you are thinking about.

Is there a thread on here about those surf pockets? I am having trouble visualizing them.....

Stupid question - does anyone know the OD on tower tube? Boat is kept in storage and I don't have regular access to it for these kind of things.
