What ideas and inventions do you see making a potential come-back in the future (or that have already made a come-back) example: Multifin boards were the thing back in the days of skurfers and ski boards and then rejected and then brought back with better design as in the trip and boards ever since.

things that have come-back:
1. Multifin boards
2. Closed toe boots

partial come-backs that seem to be spreading:
1. 4 hole mounting
3. Velcro closured boots

things that i think may potentially come-back:
1. ratchet closures on boots (the velcro making it back made me think of upgrades of these oldies)

i think it would be sweet if alliance did an "old school" competition. just give some pros some ancient equipment. like a skurfer or a skiboard for instance and see what they can do.

They already did the "old school" competition a couple of years ago. I think there's video of it some where out on the internet.

the only sucky thing about the old school contest is that while they rode old boards and had to rock short shorts, most of them had their modern boots on. Whoever rode the o'brien shredder, and dudes like thomas and gator, who rode schmaltz's old thruster pro model were fully retro and thus (ahem) "legit." (hahaha)

For real though. There's something to be said for rocking those old straps and totally killing it.

but yeah, it's in an episode of pull and is also one of the wonderful extras in "pre pop."

i was visiting down in orlando and got to go to that Old School competition. Throwing down on old boards and a ski boat was crazy. Plus short shorts, Ruck had a pair of his girlfriends shorts that barely covered the nasty bits

I would love to see an old school vs. new school competition. Let the riders throw down with an old board behind an old ski boat from the pylon and then throw down with their new gear and the newer boats. Then see who gets the best cumulative score.
As far as innovations coming back, I am hoping fazers come back.

the old school comp was gross. couple guys did have new binders on, but I can't say I how comfy I'd be in sandals. at least they could have rocked some old suctions or something.

The old school vid of byerly is damn good too.

oh yea, I don't think FAT SACS will make the comeback. Gas prices will.

Short, wide boards should be making a comeback sometime soon. Something along the lines of the original Squirt. That's my nomination and I am practicing it myself.

I definitely think single tip boards will come back strong. Who rides switch these days anyway?
