Anybody use these? I tried one on at the boat show and it did not restrict my movement at all.

I had an issue with the Helium Spur last year. I used it 3 or 4 times and it blew out on me. The foam shifted all to the front and it became unusable. It was my only Helium product and I won't buy from them again. I know that it's not the same vest as you're talking about, But that's my opinion on the company. If you put one product out there, It's going to reflect your whole image.

Helium are good vests. Sometimes stuff just happens, and it can happen to any vest. We have used them for almost two years now and haven't had a problem. Good quality from good company. They are all about freedom and movement, which it sounds like you're looking for.

Thanks, I may give one a try. I had good luck with their handles.

Well I guess everyone is entitled to their own opinion. But when I drop more than $100 dollars on a vest, I expect quality (ie: Lasting longer than a week) and the fact that it wasn't replaced leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. Just my $.02

I am on the I LOVE HELIUM Side of the fence. The vests are Super Comfy, expecailly the fleeced Lined vests. Handle and ropes are out fo site as well. I have never had an issue with any of their gear. Plus it all LOOKS SICK!

If anyone is interested I have a 2008 Helium Division Diamond Tuck vest (size large) that I would like to sell. It is brand new with the tags still on it and has never seen water. I won it in a raffle and it is a bit too small for me. Looking for $70 shipped (lower US only).

I have had the cascade for about a year (approx 200 rides) and it is still going strong.

The helium divisions are DOPE! ive been riding them since 07 and have never had a problem. By far the most comfortable jacket ive worn yet and it doesnt even feel like you have one on when your riding

Nick, was your vest the new style or did it have the styrofoam floatation? How did the vest tear?

Basically the foam for whatever reason doesn't seem to be stiched down with the material. So after a week the foam had curled and twisted into funny positions and bunched all up in the front. It wasn't possible for me to rearrage without completely cutting open the vest.

Interesting, sounds as though you got a defective vest.
