My 15 yr old son wants to try wakesurfing so I need to know what beginner board to get him. He is 5-10 and 150lbs. I dont want to invest in an expensive board to start with.

Hyperlite broadcast or similar mass produced board choose the 5'6 or 5'4 lenght...they are available used on boards like CL and Ebay...

Ya, the Broadcast would be a good choice. If you have a good size wake and none of your crew are larger you might try the smaller 4.9 Broadcast.

If your big like me and want to play also go for the 5.6.

I'm not affiliated with Hyperlight but they have donated wakeboards to competitions that I've organized.
