Well, it's time to give the boat a little TLC. Just ordered a Fresh Air Exhaust, and can wait to install it. Also, thinking about getting a sea deck pad to redo my swim platform. Question: For anyone with the older fiberglass supra swim deck, have you done anything to make it a bit stronger? The way the swim deck attaches to the transom seems to be the problem. At the top of the brace the deck sits on, L shaped brackets sit inside of some slots fastened to the transom. The bottom of the braces are then fastened with a pin through a hole. When the boat is sitting in less than calm water, the deck can really rattle around back there. Anyone got any suggestions/pics of how they made theirs more stout. Thanks in advance. I searched, but came up with nothing really.

I ran a nylon tie around each so that it fills the space between the 2 brackets for the most part. It has worked to cut down chatter pretty well.

I am seriously considering some small screws since I think most of the chatter is caused from the L brackets moving vertically, when the step actually floats momentarily on the water. Anyone else have a solution? This drives me nuts!

My Mobius V was the same way. I cut some thin plastic shims and put them in the v bracket. As soon as I got rid of the free play, it was fine. The swim platform isn't lifting in the bracket, it can't because of the pin. It's rocking up because of the slop in the v. Tighten it up.

awesome link todd. Its hilarious sometimes that we are forced to resort to a 3 dollar fix on such an expensive boat, but hey, if it works, i'm happy. I will post up a new thread when I get the shims, the FAE and the sea deck on. Thanks.
