1, 500 pounder up front, one on the back, the 250 on the side of the motor box.

Should I just throw that big sucker on the floor up front between the seats, which I've been doing, eliminating walking down that aisle? Or is there a better way, perhaps underneath one of the seats? Good advice though, thanks. I like your boat as well.

just through it in between the seats up front. as for putting only one 250 on one side of the engine, that might mess things up. it depends what or who else you have in the boat. might be better off with just the 2 big ones.

i used to have the same boat. my setup was 700 lb in the back, 250 on each side of the motor, and a 350 up front. the wake was pretty darn huge. never had more weight to throw up front, but wanted to to see the effect.

Matt,

I think what he meant both 250's, just a typo. So 500 in back, trunk possibly or just under the rear seat? Thanks both of you guys for the help.

Late,
Pete

I had a 99 prostar 205 and had the perfect weight setup. 500 lbs in the rear ski locker, 500 lbs on each side of the engine, 250 lbs in front ski locker and 250 in the floor of the bow. This was the perfect setup for me. Speed 23, 70' rope length. I had the LTR engine with the powerslot so it planed really fast.
Make sure your weight is pretty equal front to back. If you have 500 lbs in the back you need about that much in the bow to counter balance and shape the wake.

Hey Faceplanter, what kind of Bimini Top is that, and where did you get?

I had it made in Albany Or from some top shop. I could find out if you would like me to. It is a life saved when we go to Shasta.

I have a 1997 prostar 205. I put about 600 on each side of engine, and 600 or so up front on floor. Excellent wake. I would probably put the 2 500's on either side of engine and the 250's up front. Better yet, get another big fat sac for front and you can put an extra 250 under rear seat, or in rear somewhere between engine and rear seat. That's a sweet wake now.

Picking on the handicap, that's low.

We run a 550 in the trunk, and about 300 in the bow and then people, on a 99 205. But we've put a 550 in the trunk and a 550 on each side of the engine with the 300 up front, and that was super fun! But we don't do that very often.

Thanks for the help and input. Last weekend, we ran the two 500's on either side of the motor, one 250 in the ski locker, and another 250 all the way up front - it was large no doubt. Thanks again.

Speaking of 205's, has anyone had a sac custom made for the floor locker? What's the max weight you can get in there. I have a 2K 205 DD, but have not had it long. Wake looked good w/o weight, and I was hoping for 500 in the rear trunk, and 500 (or more, if possible) in the floor.

The 250 fits in there well. Vertically it is tight agains the roof and door, but horizontally it could run about a foor longer before it hits the wall on the end of the locker. Maybe 350 max you could get in there by way of custom water ballast.
