I’ve got exactly the same housing for my HC40 the housing is great but the drawbacks are that the prism that is used to see the screen is completely useless in just about all daylight conditions, it has to be almost dark before you can see anything.
This leaves you with the viewfinder which even when extended is still a long way from the back of the case making it difficult to see the entire field of view.
I know this housing fits various cameras some of which are larger than mine and maybe it’s not a problem with those, but even with its drawbacks it’s a great piece of kit.
We’ve invented a helmet cam using this housing and a cycling crash helmet which makes some interesting footage.
