No more board mooching

Went for my first ride yesterday in 65 degree water... After wakeboarding on and off for about six years, I am finally buying my own board.

The sales guys got me sold on the CWB Flame 140 with the CWB Torq bindings $399 for board and bindings. I am 6 foot and weigh about 175 pounds.

I want a board that will benfit from the tower and I won't be out riding by the end of the summer.

Is this the board I should be buying or are they just trying to make extra cash of the stupid new guy?

What other boards would you reommend me to look at?

seems like a great deal, sold seperately it would cost $610. (245 for the bindings, 365 for the board). If you ride frequently and can get big air, you might look into cushier bindings.

Is there any other boards like this that I should also be shopping?

Mike, that setup is so sweet!! I have sold a ton of those and everyone comes back very happy. It's last years Absolute shape and is very forgiving for beginners with the molded fins but is a awesome advanced board. If you compare it to this years Absolute there is a few minor changes. The salesman is not screwing with you!! He's getting you on the right board!!!!!! You will not be dissapointed!

Yeah, that setup is fine. I used to ride the absolute, same as the flame, and enjoyed it very much. And seems like a good deal aswell.
