What is the most simple and cheapest way to build a slider? I would like it to start at water level and go up to maybe 3 or 4 foot. I would also like to build a flat bar that is fixed on a piece of a floating dock. Any suggestions would help.

the cheapest way is to go to a construction site and permenently borrow some pcp pipes, which are those long green or blue ones, then build brackets and screw them together side by side, and get creative with kinks and bends and what not

I tried some PCP pipes once, but then I started thinking I could breath underwater. From now on, I just say no!!
