Holly man i need some input here. OK so both would be a 2005 and have all options and they would have under 100 hours for sure. I have ridden a '06 VLX and it was unreal. I have heard that the X2 throws a stupid wake as well. Any suggestions? Wouldnt be able to test drive one because i would be importing from the States and im in Canada. Anything helps. Thanks guys!

how about listing both boats for us, options, hrs, ballest, stereo equipment, lighting, racks, motor, etc.... that will help us help you determine best value between the boats. also, what is he looking for, strictly wake, comfort, capacity,

now i will be honest here, i love the v205(old xstar, x2, x1) wake when weighted correctly, its a "riders" boat. but when weighted there is no room in the boat for people. i considered an x1 but i just have too many people that i ride with. its a solid wake. one of the best in its class. the vlx will be wider, roomier and when weighted correctly, lots of bow weight, and it has a wedge will throw a massive wake with alot more room. it will be a different shaped wake. you just need to ride both and determine for yourself.

i'd go with the Vlx unless you want to buy a mastercraft just to say that you bought a mastercraft.

YA thanks guys
ok so the one im looking at (VLX) is sooooo sick its has illusion X tower, 4 tower speakers, sub, 4 bag ballast, maunal wedge (power didnt come until 2006 i think) 86 hours. The X2 has 75hours but only has only 3 ballast bags totaling 900lbs i believe and same old speakers on tower and amp sub. IM really looking for a wake. I had a 2005 moomba lsv and the wake just didnt cut it. The VLX will run me 43,500. I also want a boat with some space to store all my lifey GEES and all that stuff. Im really leaning towards VLX thats a lot guys!!!!!

Hard to go wrong with VLX the wake is one of the best in the business for sure. Don't worry about manual wedge...many people like the wake with no wedge and more weight. 05 x2 will also be a great wake but boat is definately not have as much room.

Cale that is low hours on both boats. I myself came from a 2005 moomba lsv and went vlx. No comparison, my wake is bigger on the vlx than it was loaded on the moomba. You will not be dissapointed. I don't even use the wedge while boarding, only surfing and the wake is still large. Coming from the moomba you're probably accustomed to a steeper wake, use the wedge and it's as steep as anyone would want.

I am curious...
how is the surf wake on the vtx?
as well...when did they go to hard tanks from ballast bags for the wakesetters?
thanks...
