Recently I destroyed my ACL playing basketball and am going in for a knee reconstruction in the next few weeks. Because I have EDS the doctor said that after the operation I would be taking too great a risk playing basketball again, and that in the future when I wakeboard, I should take it easy.

My question is does anybody out there have EDS and wakeboard or do you know anybody with it. In particular has anybody with it had a knee reconstruction with it. I want to know how people recovered and whether they can board back at there normal level and also play other sports as normal.

Also another question is if you or you know somebody with EDS has had a knee reconstruction, did they do anything different in the surgery to account for it.

I know this is a long shot since this condition is rare, but I am desperate to be able to do anything that will get my knee back to normal to allow me to board, ski, play basketball the way I want to.

Any help on this is much appreciated.
