Michigan wakeboard tournaments???

Please post your locale Michigan scene contest and date, i am looking to enter a few it has been 10 years since i did one and all of a sudden it sounds like fun.

I was talking to a guy from Silver Spray Sports out of Fenton at the Detroit boat show and he told me they do a few tournaments throughout the summer, but I havent been able to find any more information about it.

July 10th @ Pine Lake Marina in West Bloomfield
July 24th-25th @ Placid Waters in Allendale

The July 24-25 tournament is actually sponsored by the Michigan Water Ski Association and don't quote me but I believe should be backed by AWS, Silver Spray, and Skiers Pier???

The MWSA has done a 2 day state championship tournament every year for slalom and this year wanted to include a wakeboard event as well. Placid Waters has 3 lakes so both skiing and wakeboarding can all be accommodated. It is being billed as the State Championships and I believe the MWSA is providing the trophies.

The wakeboard portion will be Saturday the 24th only. I think skiing is both days.

Also, I think Placid Wake Park is hosting a WWA cable nationals qualifier the same day????

I need to get some more concrete info!
