Has anyone heard this 5 mph limit at night thing i thought someone was joking when they first told me but ive heard it from a few people now. Ive grown up on the Delta and Fallen Leaf Lake and KNOW theres no night limit at ether of those places but im wondering if some lakes have it as a rule. Anyone know the facts?

Live in Morada AVS? We boat mostly on McClure and remember seeing 10 or 15 posted for night time.

Almost every lake and waterway in california except for the Delta is 5 mph from dusk to dawn. After dark it is "save navigational speed" on the delta.

I might be wrong about fallen leaf they might have one and just don't have anyone to enforce it. it just seems unpractical to have a speed limit for boating especially because of the whole commercial aspect. Anybody know what it is on tahoe? oh and kevin i used to live in morada and havnt changed my profile yet i live in slo now but mcclures a great lake i love the tire island idea

Cali suks even more then I already thought then. How would a boat navigate anywhere at night then? Hell what is the point of having radar on some of the larger boats then? We cruise frequently at 30-35 with a spot light and gps.
