My son is looking for a new/used board. He has been brding for a couple of years(behind outboard runabouts)alot of slaloming also. we just got a '98 mobius this Christmas. with ballast or several folks has a good wake. He's been hard at it since Christmas. He still has a 141 CWB sol. He is looking to work on more advanced tricks. inverts and such, he has an incredible since of ballance and definetly doesnt mind laying it out. He just turned 15, 5'9" bout 170 and steady growing. what length brd do you more "pro type" riders suggest, and board model. He is looking at a couple of used ones on here. an 05 & 07 transcend cwb. he feels more air will give him more time to get crazy... any help appreciated. thanks a dad, p.s. he's on a budget he's using his own bread... wants something that will carry him for a cpl+ yrs.

Get a board size 140 and up. LF Shane, LF Watson, LF PS3, LF axis, Ronix One, Hyperlite Imperial, Hyperlite Parks, Hyperlite Premier, Hyperlite Byerly, CWB Transcend, CWB Absolute, O' brien Natural, and O'brien Valhalla are all boards that should give him lots of vertical pop. I think that just about cover every board that fits your description. The Hyperlite parks board I'm talking about isn't in production anymore, but you could find a used one for a good price. A lot of these boards have older versions so you should be able to find an 06 model for a good price.

Bob,

From what I hear, the Sol is a perfectly good board that he could easily learn most basic inverts on. I wouldn't mess with a new board and waste his money before he gets an idea of what type of ride he likes. DEMO!
