Is this boad the same mold as the Gonzales board? I think the Mary Jane is also a 136. Has anybody been on the Mary Jane? Would it be a better board for a girl who is a beginer / intermediate rider than say a Hyperlite Motive or Temet? Peace

Maverick,

What is the difference between the shapes? The website and wakeworld have only one shape listed for the Mary Jane. Have you been on the board?

BR, from my experience with the 2 shapes, the 135 MJ is a little slower but with better pop. More of a "load and release" board. Rides great with just the molded fins (recommended) and has very little swing weight since it is rather short. The Ricky G/Mary Jane 136 is a more well-rounded board as Maverick stated. Faster design with less natural pop but the landings are easier to handle. Also would recommend this board to be ridden with only the molded fins. For a beginner/novice female rider I would say go for the 136 MJ. Tell her to use her edges and ride with only the molded fins. This is a board she should never grow tired of riding. Hope this helps.
