hose from distributer cap?

I am going to replace my distributer cap & rotor and there is what looks like a place to hook up a hose on the side of it. But there's no hose hooked up to it and I can't find any laying around. It's a mercruiser 5.7 black scorpion. Any ideas?

But the one in the picture doesn't show an actual hose fitting thing like mine has.
