Anyone have any pictures of a 10" sub installed in a Sanger V215? I'm trying to choose between having it in a sealed box inside the passenger side compartment or to have it exposed under the driver side. Any thoughts?

I have a 12" in my 230, fits on the driver side no problem. Thats were I would recomend it, save the passenger side for other stuff.

Definitely put it on the drivers side.
Saves room and can be heard so much better, especially if you are going to use a 10" sub.
I fit a 12" Rockford punch stage 3 on my drivers side and the heater core is there too.

Anyone have pictures of the enclosures and how did you get it into an area so small in front of the driver. Thanks

My boat is in the shop right now. I can get some pics when I get it back.
Not sure you know this (sorry if you do) but the wall in the drivers side is a false wall held there by velcro. If you pull it out there is a ton of room under there.

Tate,
My problem is the foot rest. I don't have enough room between the dash and the footrest to get any standard shaped box in there. Seems like it would need to be thin and wedge shaped. I would like to see yours. Thanks
Dennis

Hey denis, I built Dougs box for his v230 and it was a square box, and the cubic footage was 1.0 cb. ft.

we built a box for a 12w6v2 to JL specs and with nothin too fancy we got it to fit infront of the drivers feet in a v215. it took a little effort to get the drivers seat/mount fiberglass part back in but it was done. managed to fit 2 more of those 12's in the passanger compartment, not much room for anything else at all but it sounds good and thats all that really counts right?!!

Clayton,
Is the area under the dash in a v230 the same as the v215? Did the footrest have to come out to install the box?

No I didnt have to remove the fottrest, I was able to get the box up and over it, really tite, but it fit. Im not sure if the V230 and V215's driver area are the same size, but if you make the box, instead of buying a traditional bought box, then anythings possible.

Mike,
How difficult was the removal of the foot rest?

taking the footrest out is only 4 7/16 bolts to get the seat off (there under the butt pad) and if i remember right its just 4 or 6 phillips head screws on the carpeted part and the whole thing will lift right out

I managed to stuff a Rockford T1 12" vented in a customers 05 215. Took a few hours to get all the angles and spacing, but well worth it. I'll look for some pics and try to post them for ya. I think total internal volume of the enclosure was somewhere around 1.75 cubes.
