Hey I was looking at a boat in Newyork listed on Craigslist.org the seller wants to go through escrow.com is there any way I could get screwed by this? What if he says he didn't ship the item?

I don't know anything about escrow.com, but YES, there are plenty of ways to get screwed. Craigslist is good, but they are constantly battling fraudulent listers. Don't put any money down on a boat until you've tested it, inspected, etc. If the deal in NY seems really, really sweet; way below market value - watch your wallet.

I would be carefull if you are talking about the 05 black/blue malibu on ebay that says buy now for 22,000. looks like a scam. That boat is worth 35 to 40 easy.
