I ride occasionally behind a heavily weighted X-Star--probably about 4000lbs total (stock ballast, plus fly high system, plus a few hundred #'s of lead in the bow cooler, plus people).

With that setup I ride at about 85' at 25mph--maybe 26. It's awesome.

Were running with full stock ballast, Fat sacs in rear lockers and in bow, plus about 500lbs of lead. 80' off @ 27mph. Giant, giant wake.

I ride about 2800lbs at 80ft and 24.4 mph. Our weight changes every time so that's probably the average. When we put a lot of weight in it, about 4000lbs, I was riding at about 85ft and 25-26 mph. I've rode with about 4500lbs 90ft and 27mph.

The longer the line and the more weight the faster you ride. Keep the weight 40% front weight to 60% back weight. You get the idea. It's really all about what you like. Wakes massive with little effort.

Fly high system and 170 extra pounds in the front. 2 people in the boat at 80ft at 26mph or 85ft at 27mph. The wake is perfect! On my Raley I am in the air long enough to make a sandwich and eat it!!
