Quick Help - 2 boards to choose from

Hey guys, just getting into surfing and want to buy a board. We will wakeboard most of the time, but want to surf when it's a little chop out.

I am working with Grizzly Sports on a board. They told me the Ronix Stage 5-4 (linked below) is a great all around board. I also like the Hyperlite BroadCast 4-9 as well.
Different shapes - which one is going to give us newbies a better ride short term and something we can rock out for a year or two?

IMO an Inland Surfer would be a better choice then the Ronix and a Phase 5 better than the Broadcast. (and both the latter examples are better choices than either of the former ones)

Every board I've ever ridden from the wakeboard manufacturers weren't that well thought out and using technology that doesn't translate to surfing very well. They're only giving us boards that barely work and relying on their established distribution channels to sell boards. If any of them put even 1/20 of the R&D they put into their wakeboards they'd look a lot different.

They'll be fine for learning on but you'll want something different by the end of the season (took me 2 days)

I agree with Wardovision. I started out with a broadcast at the beginning of this season when I first started and I already have an Inland Surfer Blue Lake and a Phase 5 Drew. Don't waste your money on the mass produced boards get something good from the start. It's more money up front but you won't regret it later.
