A resonable price?..and a choice

I have found two boats that might work for me; A 2008 Moomba Mobius LSV for $36KUSD. And a 2006 Malibu VLX for $40KUSD. Both have around 200 hours, and look mint in the photos. They are approximately the same size and I Intended to use whichever for your typical mix of water sports including surfing, and the usual afternoon outings with our family of 4 plus the usual mix of a few extra friends. I am primarily concerned about what I would be able to get back for either if I had to sell (or trade). The only thing I don't like about the VLX is the garish colour scheme, with the graffiti flame decal, yellow interior parts (after all I am middle aged!...my teens will probably like it) Which is the better safe buy, according to both dealers there is little room for negotiation. I am kind of stuck, are these even reasonable prices?

The resale on the VLX is way better. You can also remove the decals & go naked. Fit & finish the Malibu hands down. I spent a few hours on a 2008 moomba gravity games boat & as much as I would like a newer boat, I'd take my 02 vlx over that one any day.

malibu… no question. Yes, strip the decals off and go "naked", Bu's look awesome like that.

That Moomba is way over priced for an '08. No brainer for the Malibu.

I was looking at an 07 moomba lsv for 30k two years ago. That one is overpriced. The Malibu seems like a fair deal though.
