I just bought them and the rubber on the bottom is bugging the hell outta the bottom of my feet. Anyone else had this problem? Does it go away after they are broken in?

Mine actually bothered my feet the first few times I rode them. Just deal with it for a few rides, and they will soon be extremely comfy.

I had the same bindings and sprained my foot/arch several times in them. They are almost too soft in my opinion. Now I am not the best rider in the world, so it may just be me.

I loved the 06 shanes, loved the 07 shanes and love the 08 shanes. The shanes are AWESOME!!

Do the Shanes have enough side to side support? I am riding Transits now and I am looking at Shanes vs. Watsons and really don't have anywhere to try them on. I have worn Sphynx's in the past and I wasn't a huge fan of the flex they had. How do the Shane's compare??

I tried them on in a shop and HATED the feeling too. Never ridden them on the water though.

Stephen, compared to the transits the shanes have more side to side flex. the watsons are the same as the shanes but are stiffer. so the watsons would be what youre looking for.

That is what I was thinking, the Watson's look like they are a higher boot compared to the Shane's. I am not completely opposed to some flex, I just thought the Sphynx had too much flex for me. I have heard the Shane's had more support than the Sphynx.

Thanks for your input everyone. I'll ride them a few times and see how they feel.
