Can you believe this?
http://www.wakeworld.com/MB/Discus/messages/1/509765.html?1192804795

I think everyone who boards should e-mail the Mayor and Council. They start closing lakes to water contact who's next?

Yea we need all the help we can get! If WW gets 100K page views a month, I just wish we could get 500 people to send in emails to the mayor and city council. With the help of this site. Hell everyone in the country send emails, can't do nothing but clog up servers, not our problem.

The main problem is most people dont even know what wakeboarding is. But if you mention tubing they are all over it.

Just imagine what Mission Bay will be like in the summer. They will have to limit it, there will not be enough police boats and/or lifeguards to handle the amount of accidents that are going to take place.

The competition boat dealers (Nautique, Centurion, Mastercraft soon I bet they reconsider)will be going out of business soon in this county. No one who pays 60-75K for a boat will be putting it in salt water is my bet. Unless you just dont give a feck. Which is not the mentality of a WB with a nice boat now is it?

People send emails to help out.

All water contact and any lake or river no matter country or location outside of this county will be so overcrowded you will be getting up at 4a and and be done riding by 630a

Come on Wakeboarders! Let's rally! I live in Az but we can still make a difference! (Imagine if this was happening to your local lakes!) Check out the third post on the above link by Andy G. for an example of a letter to write.

It took me twenty minutes to write my letter and I sent it to the names Andy posted:

jerrysanders@sandiego.gov; scottpeters@sandiego.gov; kevinfaulconer@sandiego.gov; toniatkins@sandiego.gov; anthonyyoung@sandiego.gov; bmaienschein@sandiego.gov; donnafrye@sandiego.gov; jmadaffer@sandiego.gov' benhueso@sandiego.gov

it might not take everyone twenty minutes to write an email but as wakeboarders we have a resonsibility to help out our brothers and sisters in SD!!

Good luck to those in San Diego!!!! I hope this works out for you!

Josh,
Thanks for the help. San V riders, the lake will stay open for November (saturdays only) (supposed to close end of October). That's only another month but it's something. The complaining is working.

San V open on Saturdays Until end of November!
(Supposed to close end of October). That's only another month but it's a start.
We do have a chance for Otay. That comes from people in the (ssh- water department) but time is running out.
The one thing we here is, no one is complaining.
NO squeaky wheel-NO grease.
San Diego Water Authority went to extensive measures to publicize their EIR/EIS Report. The City is on record to having no complaints to their response to the EIR/EIS report witch would be “No Thanks”.

Disputing what others may think, THERE IS A CHANCE!
Opening Otay, Hodges, or ????, for a replacement of San V is a possibility.
