There are many different types of clipping.

Possibly, you're trying to get more out of the amps then they can produce. Your gain settings are maybe too high putting the peak of the sound wave outside the capabilities of the amp effectively "clipping" off the top of the wave.

I guess I should give another example. You could also be driving your coils past their limits. But I would assume your not trying to drive a mid off a bridged sub amp which would bottom out the coil and "clip" the wave.
