The very nice UPS man just delivered my 09 Recoil 142 with 08 D2 Boots!! It's even sicker than I had expected. Taking it out tomorrow at McCormicks and I can't wait!

Yeah I rode it at the demo day a couple weeks back, 2 laps and I was hooked, ordered one of my own a few days later. Slides so much easier than my old board, I learned seriously like 10 new tricks on rails that day.
the 09s and above have the dura base which isn't really like the LF grind bases but it just makes the board glide really smooth and smooth gliding means less damage. So if you are asking if they are rail friendly yes.
i would even say the older 08 and 07 slingshots are more slider friendly than your average board. maybe i am judging from far too little personal experience and am biased. but iv'e seen the bottoms of two different foam core boards get ripped open (with as little if not less slider time as mine), while my 07 recoil is fine. i can't imagine how much More slider friendly the newer ss's are
