Ok, I did a search and didn't come up with much...
What do you all use to clean your boat cover? We are trying to clean it up before it's long winter nap, and the cover is just gross.
Bird doo & bug parts have taken their toll after a summer in the dock, and we aren't having much success with the pressure washer and brush with soap.
Just wondering if anyone has any great ideas...I'm about ready to throw it in the washing machine and see how it comes out!
Thanks...
Lauri

Hi- I would use warm water, dish soap, and a scrub brush. Get after it. Let dry completely and treat with a product called CANVAK if it is more than a couple years old. This helps to seal it up. CANVAK can be bought through most canvas/awning shops. I would avoid the washing machine, but if you do, you do. Good luck.

Take off all of the straps and take it to your local drycleaners.
Cost me $22 and it came out clean and smelling wonderful.

I knew to use Nikwax as the search word.

Is it Sunbrella? They guy who made mine suggested warm water, Woolite and a soft brush.

Thanks guys. When it dried out, it really did look a lot better. It just didn't seem like we were getting anywhere, but I guess we did.
Swass, yes, it is Sunbrella. We used dish soap (Dawn), warm water, and a soft brush. It was only after it dried that it really looked like we had done something!
Lots of work though...makes me wish I had a smaller boat...nah, just kidding.
