Yesterday I gave my hand at wakesurfing for the 2nd time, and I have to admit, I'm hooked!

In the video, I threw the rope for the first time and really got into it. I felt pretty comfortable and seemed to have good control. Nothing really felt off but I didn't have anyone with me that was better so I have no idea if I was doing anything wrong.

Anyways, I would appreciate any feedback and tips. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rbxX48eQuVs (sorry about the aspect ratio)

I was behind a Mastercraft X9 with a standard ballast system (??lbs) and 5 people (~900lbs). No idea what the board was, but if you have any suggestions for a board, I would appreciate that. I'm 5'9" and 155lbs.

Right on man. I see you improved a lot since we were out Saturday. I think what Trayson said rang true, it was something like "One more time out and you'll be showing me up" Apparently it actually was one more time out.

That ride looked awesome man, I also noticed the wave was a little different and looked wider and taller than on Stormtrooper.

Once again good job on that good run.

Gotta love a V-drive wake, that's for sure. Definitely looked cleaner than mine.

You ripped it up, you're a natural! I like how you were able to recover at 1:10, I would have been dropped for sure.

Glad I was able to intro you into wakesurfing. Do you have any idea what speed you were going at in the X9?

Thanks guys.

This X9 was actually a direct drive, which surprised me even. I believe the speed was set to 10.5, I'll ask to verify.

Cool. Yeah, I know I've got some work to dial in my ballast bags. the floor is so convenient so that's why I've been doing it there. Some time I might have to try changing the tube sac from the floor to inside the rear locker. That would allow me to get the 750 sack a little further back.

Reading the tips Desi was getting on his thread was good for me. Those are the things I wouldn't figure out naturally. There are a lot of things that cross over from wake and snow to surf, but obviously a lot of it's quite different.
