Lake Mcconaughy, Nebraska. - Non-Wakeboarding Discussion

We will be making a family trip to Lake McConaughy Nebraska and staying in Admirals Cove in their cabins. Just wanted to see if anybody has been there and has any advice on where to go or eat or fun things to do. We plan on bringing our boat from Colorado and getting some surfing in on the lake and letting the kids do some swimming. Can we be there? And how is the water temperature? Any advice greatly appreciated thank you

Not all that familiar with Mac but the water was mid 70's at the lake we usually ride last time I was there the water was super chopped it was a holiday weekend though

Stayed at Admirals cove last year. Was great. There is a nice little restaurant on site with a great deck. Good water is early morning or evening... stick to the boat ramp... lots of folks get stuck in the sand trying to just launch from the beach.

You can launch from the sand? Lol. I'm used to not being allowed to so that works out great for us. Anywhere specific on the lake that's fun or neat?
