anyone own a Fly High FAT SEAT?

Care to give a review of the thing?

I'm thinking of buying one to use in a 2003 Moomba Outback for wakesurfing.

any info would be greatly appreciated. Found the fat seat on sale for $99.

thanks in advance

In my opinion the Fly High Fat Seat works well for wakeboarding where you want both sides of the wake to be about equal but it's not a good choice for wakesurfing because it goes all the way across the width of the boat and therefore distributes its weight equally to both sides of the boat. With wakesurfing, you want to load one side of the boat to maximize that side of the wake and to clean up that side of the wake. That's my 2 cents worth.

I have one, and I personally think it is awesome. Yes, it does put weight all the way across the boat, but that's just to get started... then load up a ton of other weight (sacs, lead, people, gas cans) to which ever side you need.

my setup:
Fat Seat 1250lbs (rear)
twin 350 sacs (stacked in bow hallway/walkway)
5-9 people (easily positioned wherever needed)
2 gal gas cans to put on whichever side for surfing

Nice clean wake Kevin. Looks like your setup works great for you.

oops *two 5gal gas cans haha. and thanks Steve! :-) yeah, it took a lil bit of playing around with the weight distribution, but I think its dialed in pretty beautifully, the sweet spot is huge

The fat seat is great for surfing; except, there are "compartments" inside and it can be difficult to fill or drain. There is a sheet of plastic towards the back of each armrest. If you are VERY careful, you can insert a knife in one of the valves and cut the plastic to allow water to flow better. If you miss, you just ruined the sac. I ended up selling mine and replacing it with the Fly High Pro X Fat Sac. I am much happier with the Pro X sacs.
