Regular footed. Back (landing) hip aches after riding. Other hip's fine. Cause? Cures? Glucosamine?

Thanks!

I injured my hip by over-extending it. Took about 6 months to totally heal.

Start stretching your hip every day and especially before you ride. And exercise it to build the muscles. Lay flat on your back and lift one leg at a time; then to your side and do the same thing. This should help.

I have the same problem, Steven. I think it's old age, combined with that falling out of the sky and sudden stop thing....I've found that proper warm up, followed by visualizing a large Advil bottle at home when the day ends, helps....

I had the same problem for a while, and I'm a young'n. Try adjusting your stance angles a little.

i hear that pain in your hip can be connected to lower back problems.

My hips (both) used to have a dull ache evertime i got back in the boat from riding. It hurt to the point of not wanting to ride, but then it just went away and i hardly ever have it happen anymore. Guess i got lucky. Could be that I've lost around 30 pounds, and my back and hips take less of a beating.

I too went through the pain in the hip. I found that changing my binding angle slightly made it go away.

Ride more switch also.

Interesting.

I don't stretch, and, looking back on it, the problem started when I widened my stance and ducked it out a bit more.

I do hit the glucosamine pretty religiously.

Time to adjust the stance and start stretching!

Thanks.
