I've ridden behind a 220 and would say that is the best wake of all boats I've ever been behind. I've been behind everything but an X-Star.
But what is Nautique's "flagship" if you only went on wake?

Depends on how they are weighted... I never rode behind a 230...
I have a 210, with 280 pounds in front, 80 middle, and 500 in back, plus factory ballasts... pretty hugh with lots of people in the boat... lots of fun.

"But there's no way the 210's wake beats a 220's, especially when weighted comparably."

They all have nice wakes, but the 210 has a better wake then the 220.

The 230 has the best wake it is shaped perfect and has massive size. Why do you think the majority of the nautique pro riders use the 230 as their boat of choice.

IVE RIDDEN ALL 3 AND BY FAR THE 230 IS THE BEST. BUT BY THE SAME TOKEN THEY ARE ALL DECENT IF YOU KNOW HOW TO WEIGHT THEM. THE 210 IS LIKE HITTING A BRICK WALL TO ME. NO TROUGH LIKE THE 230. THE 210 IS ALSO VERY NARROW, BUT THATS DUE TO THE 2'-0" DIFFENCE OF THE 230. I WOULDNT RECCOMENT THE 220 JUST DUE TO ITS INCONSISTANCY. THE WAKE IS VERY VERY WASHY AND ROLLS ON YOU VERY EASY. OBVIOULY IM PRO 230. JUST DEPENDS ON YOUR POCKETS. IF YOU HAVE THE 80K TO DROP GET A 230. IF NOT GET A 210 AND JUST WEIGHT IT CORRECTLY. I WOULD RECOMEND GETTING A HOLD OF MURRAY ON HERE AND SEE WHAT HIS RECCOMENDATIONS ARE. HES GOT THE WEIGHTING THING DOWN TO A SCIENCE. BUT I WOULDNT WASTE MY BENJI'S ON A 220 TO SAVE MY LIFE.

2001 210 Team was my favorite boat of all time. The 220 has an amazing wake but is very temperamental left to right. The 230 is the new flagship I would say. I have not ridden in or behind one of these.

the 220 is the worst wake i have ever ridden. The 220 is sooooo inconsistant. My best friend has one and i wont ride behind it anymore. 210 one of the best.

sweet jeff, stoked about september now!

I have to say that the wake behind a fully loaded 230 has got to be the best wake I have ever ridden. It is just massive and has a nice transition unlike the older versions.

The 210 is nice too, when loaded properly, but doesn't compare to the 230.

I'm happy with my 220. I don't think it's hard to get a consistent wake out of it. You just need to know what you are doing with the weight and you will be fine.
Old     (tom_paz)      Join Date: Jan 2003       07-17-2009, 5:34 PM Reply
+1 for the 220. that wake has a steeper transition that the 210 or 230. just get the weight dialed in and quit whining. its got more straight up pop than most other boats i've ridden. its sick.
Old     (killercam)      Join Date: May 2009       07-17-2009, 6:01 PM Reply
Its all based on personal preference and riding style IMO. My vote is for the 210.

How wide is the 230 wake @ 24 mi/hr with stock ballast?
Meaning is the 230 wake, on average, more wide or normal than most boats?
Old     (mac_attack)      Join Date: Oct 2003       07-18-2009, 7:47 PM Reply
I rode behind a stock 08 230 a few times and the wake was pretty big for no extra weight but the wake felt soft. Almost like I was punching through it. Any idea's? Just add more weight?

In regards to the previous question, I thnk the wake is slightly wider than the average boat.

The only time I have been behind a 230 is in big chop so it was hard to get a real feel for it but the 210 is wayyyy better than the 220. The 220 can get nice it is just that you have to load the front of the boat so much to keep it balanced that it submarines in any kind of rollers. The 210 like weight in the back and it sometimes will porpoise with the hydrogate down and weighted heavy in the rear.
