If that doesn't want to make you ride, nothing will. Nice shots.

What type of camera and lens?
Old     (buffalow)      Join Date: Apr 2002       10-30-2006, 9:45 AM Reply
Joe, why are you trying to doing "my shot". That's almost exactly like my shot of Eddie that ran in the mag?

Looks like good times man. Wish I was there! You got to love the delta.....

thanks y'all.

randy, that was sean's boat.

doug, nikon d70 w/ sean's 24-120mm lens.

buffalow, you know the saying, if you're going to copy, copy from the best.

joe-thanks for shooting those! can you send me the full res versions?

evan-yah, it was kinda wiered being on the other end of the lens, but it was a good change of scenery. It was good to see you still out riding. We should try to get out before the delta freezes over and everyone heads for the hills.

sean, just sent 'em to you email.

Awww Joe - you should have charged him (or at least trade for a DS2)

Sean - did you get a new camera?

rich- My cousin kindly hooked me up with a D70 (the backup to his backup camera), since he hadnt used it in over a year. It needed service, but it ended up being minor. Those were the first shots I have taken with it, so I am still figuring out the proper settings and whatnot.

oh yeah, I traded Joe for some tasty bbq on saturday instead

Since your cousin probably gave you the in-law/bro deal we'll overlook the fact that it's a Nikon! (j/k)

Those were some good shots on the other thread - I don't think you need to change anything!

i'm not on his good side yet to get a copy of ds2....good enough for bbq and to put up w/ my dogs, but not for a ds2.

rich- thanks! lets just say it was a screaming deal...very generous on his part. I bought another lens though, so I can already see this becoming an expensive hobby.

joe- boo-fricken-hoo! your dogs are always welcome...anything that keeps big lou entertained is defintely much appreciated. Hit me up next time and we can make a trade for the chick flic.

sean, what lens did you get? don't forget to add battery grip and speedlight to the list.

50mm f1.8 to add to the 24-120 VR I got to start with. After taking a bunch of shots at my brother's halloween party last night, I think a flash will be the next thing on my list.

Joe - I always enjoy looking at your pictures. that first one of Sean however, is amazing. one of my favorite shots of all time. keep up the good work. can't wait for TCF to get here!

"so I can already see this becoming an expensive hobby. "

Boy I've been there, it seems the lenses you don't own all sound better then the ones you do . . . . and then someone posts some insane picture with that lens you been jonesin for and immediately you think "That does it, I gotta have it".

haha...so true, Rich, so true!

sean- DEFINITELY get an external flash.

Hey Scott, did you waste any digi-space on me last thursday? I'd love to get some pics of my riding if you've got 'em. I wouldn't imagine you'd be using them for anything other than wasting hard drive space. LOL.
Old     (guido)      Join Date: Jul 2002       11-02-2006, 2:10 PM Reply
Joe, the second pic is going to be my desk top backround for a while. Thanks....
Old     (scott_a)      Join Date: Dec 2002       11-02-2006, 2:40 PM Reply
evan- yeah, well since they were such a waste of hard drive space I decided to delete them.

kidding. I'll post some up when I have a chance.

I'm all for more pics of Evan, the ones put up lately have been sick!

Evan, make sure you send Joe a dollar for the use of his intellectual property!

Rich, I think it's a stretch to put "Joe" and "intellectual" in the same sentence.

LOL.... Sorry Joe, you know it's all love. How 'bout I just get your hat back?
