Yes, folks, believe the hype!! Andy and J-Rod and a few of the other guys on here always recommend the ACME Props, specifically the 1285. Recently Brodie and I have been trying to add more weight to the boat, and the old 13.5x17.5 did not get the job done. BOAT: 2003 MC X2 Bow Sack = 1000 Ski locker = 400 Floor behind driver = 400 Back Seat = 370 Rear Lockers = 900 (Plumbed in Fly High 450s) Future: 4-6 bags of Lead and and another sack So 1st we borrowed an OJ 14.25 x 14 and threw it on. The boat planed out after about 30 seconds, but someone needed to jump on the bow sack to help get the nose down. We were a bit skeptical that the ACME would be that much better, but a local Prop Repair guy said "Believe me it will be better. You ride on the river with ballast, ACME is just way ahead of ahead of their competitor." He could not have been more correct. The boat jumped out of the water with the 1285.... on plane in 10-12 seconds. A far superior prop. IMHO it was worth every penny. The best part is we know we can even go heavier now it planes so easy!! Hahahaha
