ski pylon

my pylon is difficult to collapse and extend
(sorry about how that sounds

)

graphite would work well as a lube, but would be messy

what would you guys recommend applying to make things go smoother and with less effort.......

Cliff,
The ski pylon on our 2007 VLX has the same problem, but only when it gets hot (engine heat). Let me know if you find a good solution.

hey Robert,I talked to my dealer today. He said that the pylon needs removed and the hole needs honed out. He said that it is pretty common.

Honing is the only method that he has found to fix the problem
