I'm new to wakeskating. I have a Hyperlite (not sure which model but the deck is flat with foam top and it retailed for $100). I really like wakeskating but I'm not as stable as wakeboarding. I'm 6' about 200lbs. I don't do any tricks, just enjoy riding and cutting back and fourth across the wake.

Which wakeskate would give me the most stable ride? I have no problem getting up, I just want to stay up and ride a little longer.

Thanks,

that board with the fin in should be fine. it has a huge fin on it. the more you ride the more stable you will be.

keep your weight centered over the board and roll your knees forward a bit. when you feel unstable, drop your back hand to get you centered.

Like Mitch says your technique gives you stability. Beyond this a Hyperlite Vinyl is the most "stable" board I have ridden, sharp edges, cnannels on the bottom and sits high on the water....kinda like a wakeboard.
